Dr. William Hoskin

William was born and raised in Head of St. Margaret’s Bay, NS. From a young age he developed a keen interest in science and a love for animals. After graduating from high school, Will pursued his interests and completed a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science and Aquaculture at the Nova Scotia Agricultral College before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI.

Since becoming a veterinarian, Will has practiced primarily in the Tantallon area. During this time he met and worked with Dr. Emily Poynter. Learning of their similar drive and ambitions they knew that one day they would embark in clinic ownership. In 2019 this dream was finally realized. Hammonds Plains Veterinary Hospital was born from a desire to provide a high standard of veterinary care as well as an excellent client experience to the community.

When not working, Will can often be found at the barn with his wife Deidra, their puppy Ever and their horse Geneva.
